Lady Cats back in playoff hunt

The Rains Lady Cats kept their hopes of reaching the playoffs alive last week. The Lady Cats recorded wins over the Wills Point Lady Tigers and the Quinlan Ford Lady Panthers to improve their district record to 4-5.

The Lady Cats began the week with a must-win game against the Lady Tigers on Tuesday night, January 31, in the Rains High School gym

RHS to remain in 14-3A

The University of Interscholastic League (UIL), the governing body of high school sports, released their biennial reclassification/realignment on Thursday morning, February 2. The reclassification/realingments take effect for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 school years.

Rains, Quinlan and Wills Point will remain in District 14-3A and will be joined by Crandall and Kaufman in the new alingment.
